AAOKH joins the BARC Science Fair in Utqiaġvik, July 17-19, 2019

The BARC Science Fair starts today in Utqiaġvik! Registration for youth starts at 1:30. Activities start at 2, with a BBQ taking place at 4:30. Science presentations begin at 6pm. These activities will take place today, tomorrow, and Friday. AAOKH researchers, Roberta Tuuraq Glenn and Josh Jones, will be at the BARC Science Fair in the Friday session to fly kite cameras with the youth and present AAOKH and other research in the evening. We hope to see you there!
The parental consent form says 3rd grade and older, or 2nd grade and younger need to have a parent present. All youth will have to have parental consent form filled out with the registration, which I am sure they will have on site.
The BARC Science Fair is organized by UIC Science, with support from several organizations including AAOKH, North Slope Borough Department of Wildlife Management, and the National Science Foundation.
