We have some exciting news to share with you! Please help us welcome Roberta Tuurraq Glenn to the Alaska Arctic Observatory & Knowledge Hub (AAOKH) project in a new capacity as the first AAOKH Program Coordinator and Community Liaison.
As you may recall, Roberta is a recent graduate of the UAF geoscience master’s program – one of many outcomes was a StoryMap product of AAOKH observations to document insights in coastal change shared by AAOKH observers! It’s exciting to have Roberta move into a new and important role with our team.
In addition to helping with project management and coordination, we have a vision for Roberta to transition into more of a co-leadership role and particularly in terms of helping AAOKH develop and maintain stronger relationships with our communities so that our data and observations can be as useful and relevant as possible.
Roberta is from Utqiaġvik, and will be working remotely from Anchorage. She can be reached at rjglenn [at] alaska.edu. You can also learn more about Roberta in this recent story about her work and a new article in the Arctic Sounder!!
